The Best Health Tracking App For Vibrant Health
It’s no secret that our nation’s health is trending downward. Someone has a heart attack every 34 seconds, and every 60 seconds someone dies of a heart attack in the United States. Over half the country is either considered diabetic or prediabetic, and cancer and autoimmune diseases are on the rise more than ever before. To combat all of these issues, the United States spends more on health care than the next 10 top-spending countries combined!
With the plethora of different diets to choose from it’s hard to know exactly which will be best for you. Some diets provide meals to order from a certain site, some limit calories consumed in a day, some concentrate more on macronutrients, and others are more worried about what type of food you’re eating.
One diet plan, for example, is the ketogenic diet. When talking about this diet the main factor is managing your macro intake to be sure you are eating a much higher amount of fats than carbs. Eating this way can boost fat loss, but the conventional keto diet can consist of low-quality food that can damage your body without giving it the micronutrients it needs.
Enter Ketotarian. Ketotarian is the plant-based diet I developed to burn fat, boost energy, calm inflammation, and crush cravings. This takes the benefits from both plant-based and ketogenic diets while leaving behind the pitfalls that come with each one. It’s not just about your fat-to-carb ratio; it’s about choosing foods that truly nourish your body.

One question I’ve received countless times since releasing Ketotarian is “What food tracker should I use?”. But, just like some diets are better options than others, the exact same thing goes for food tracking apps.
Cronometer
That is why I am excited to introduce you to Cronometer: The most accurate way to track your nutrition and health. Not only does Cronometer track macronutrients, but it also tracks micronutrients as well and reports them to you in an easy to read and understand format.
Are you pregnant? Track your folate intake in the app to promote healthy brain development for your baby. Vegan or vegetarian? Track your B vitamins to ensure you are getting enough. Does anemia run in your family? Prevent it from affecting you by eating foods that provide adequate amounts of iron.
But Cronometer is so much more than that. Health is not just about what you eat, so why would you only track what you eat. Not only can you input dietary information, but you can input other health information such as exercise, blood pressure, body temperature, waist size, cholesterol (LDL, HDL, and Total), mood, sleep, and ketones. I also like to make notes when I experience any change throughout the day whether it’s a physical, emotional, or mental change. Each new entry – whether that is a note, biometric entry, or food log – is placed in chronological order on the diary page. This is especially valuable because it can bring many health aspects together into one place to see how they are working together.
When a patient is dealing with inflammation, this is extremely critical. Many people don’t realize that a certain food is causing inflammation, like a headache or bloating, until they notice a recurring relationship between that food and the symptom they are experiencing.
After tracking this information for a period of time, you can then use their trend feature to look at how certain biometrics are changing. Being able to see your calorie and macro count and a biometric of choice, like cholesterol or waist size, on graphs side by side can be extremely helpful to look at how the changes you are implementing are making a difference on your personal health case.
For example, for those starting a Ketotarian diet it is extremely encouraging to see your waist size shrink as you get more and more comfortable with eating a low-carb, high-fat diet. More than that, it may be even more amazing and encouraging to see the changes in your cholesterol! If you want as much information to track as possible, Cronometer can do that! If you are only interested in the basics, calories and macros consumed are displayed in an easy to read and understand graphic.
Whether you’re ready to dive deep into your health case to reach optimal health or just track a few changes you plan on making, Cronometer will work for you.
