Keto

The ketogenic diet is all the rage right now. This low-carb, moderate protein, high fat diet has been shown to improve your overall health by simply loading up on foods rich in fat such as dairy and fatty cuts of meat. However, most keto diets are filled with conventional meat and dairy products that are less than ideal for those with sensitivities and can contribute to higher levels of inflammation - exactly what you don't want when going keto. Our functional medicine team is all about doing keto as clean as possible, for some that includes eating meat and for others that means following a more plant-based approach from my book Ketotarian.
