In this week’s episode I sit down with renowned dermatologist, Dr. Whitney Bowe. She lets us in on all of the latest science-backed secrets for achieving our best skin ever - starting with caring for our skin’s microbiome. By understanding exactly what our skin microbiome does and how it’s connected to leaky gut, we can determine the best tips and tools to facilitate healing from the inside out. From skin cycling to sleep hygiene, everything you’ve ever ever wanted to know - or thought you knew - about skin health is waiting for you in this episode!

Considered one of the most in-demand dermatologists in the country, Dr. Bowe specializes in skin rejuvenation, laser dermatology, and the link between nutrition and skincare. You’ve probably seen her on Good Morning AmericaThe Rachael Ray Show, and she’s frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.  She’s built a significant following on both Instagram and Tiktok @drwhitneybowe, where she’s become known for her quick, high yield videos that lead you down a rabbit hole of knowledge.  Dr. Bowe attended Yale University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and then went on to graduate top of her class at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Now as the Medical Director of Integrative Dermatology, Aesthetics & Wellness at Advanced Dermatology, P.C., Dr. Bowe is on the pulse of cutting-edge technology and injection techniques to achieve her signature ageless aesthetic, which she refers to as “The New Natural.” Dr. Bowe also serves as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she trains physicians and surgeons in the latest groundbreaking cosmetic surgery techniques. Her research and clinical work  has earned her scores of awards from renowned organizations such as the Skin Cancer Foundation, and she’s been named to the coveted Super Doctors of New York list and the prestigious Castle Connolly Top Doctors list every year for the last 5 years.  Dr. Bowe holds a patent for a bacterial-derived acne treatment. She has written more than 50 articles and book chapters and has conducted clinical trials exploring new forms of treatment for acne and she is the author of the best selling book, The Beauty of Dirty Skin, now translated into 7 different languages.
