In this episode, I'm joined by biochemist and author, Jessie Inchauspé. After seeing how the epidemic of high blood sugar has wreaked havoc on our society, Jessie set out to change the way we look at food in her new book, Glucose Revolution. By showing us the negative impact that high blood sugar has on our health (hormone imbalances, chronic inflammation, and more) she directs us how to lower our glucose levels in simple, sustainable ways. You don't need a PHD to understand the relationship between food and your health, this episode (and her book!) will give you all the information you need to balance your blood sugar and reclaim your health.

Jessie Inchauspé is a French biochemist and international bestselling author of Glucose Revolution. She's on a mission to translate cutting-edge science into easy advice to help people improve their physical and mental health.

She’s the founder of the wildly popular Instagram account @GlucoseGoddess, where she teaches hundreds of thousands of people about healthy food habits.

She holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from King's College London, and a master of science degree in biochemistry from Georgetown University.

In her first book, Glucose Revolution, translated into over 30 languages, Jessie shares her startling discovery about the essential role of blood sugar in every aspect of our lives, from cravings to fertility, and the surprising hacks to optimize it while still eating the foods we love.

A few of my favorite things we cover this episode:

  • The connection between glucose spikes and hormonal imbalances.
  • The importance of fiber in our diet.
  • Why the order in which you eat your meals matters.
  • There is a better way than counting calories.
