One area that can often get overlooked when it comes to your health is your oral health. What is going on in your mouth can both reflect and influence what is going on inside of you. You are also absorbing what you are putting inside of your mouth, whether that is toothpaste or mouthwash, making it important to choose non-toxic options whenever possible. These are the products we are loving and have made the switch to from conventional oral care products.
Always being prepared with immune boosting natural items is my forte. Having doTERRA’s OnGuard toothpaste is just another way to make sure I am supporting my immune system daily to prevent sickness rather than just stop it!
My favorite oral care product is this peppermint coconut oil for oil pulling to help support healthier teeth and gums and a whiter smile without any harsh, drying alcohols found in typical mouthwashes!
Instead of another plastic toothbrush, I’ve made the switch to eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes. They are easier on the environment as well as my wallet since I feel like they last longer than my less-expensive plastic options.
Traditional mouthwash is typically made with alcohol which can mess with your pH levels in your mouth and your good bacteria. Tom’s instead is made with natural ingredients like sea salt and natural flavors without unnecessary added sugar or dyes.
I love to floss but I’m not a fan of conventional brands that are filled with toxins. Not something I want in the products I put directly into my mouth. This floss from Hello is made from vegan wax and xylitol so there’s no added sugar. Plus, the activated charcoal helps with detoxing and removing bacteria.
